The Dr. Connie L. Drisko-Women in Periodontics Leadership Awards, aimed at increasing the numbers of academic women periodontists in leadership positions, are established to inspire young women to follow in Dr. Drisko's footsteps. Congratulations to Satish Kumar, DDS, MDSc, 2013 Educator Scholar and 2014 AAPF Fellow to the ADEA/AAL Institute for Teaching and Learning in the Health Professions, who recently accepted a full-time faculty role as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Preventive Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
