The AAP Foundation Silent Auction is live! Go here or text AAPF to 52182 to browse and bid! And don't miss our Future Horizons in Periodontology session, be sure to stop by the Foundation booth in the Burrard foyer, and more!
The AAP Foundation is gearing up for an exciting, informative program at the AAP Annual Meeting this October in Vancouver!
Be sure to stop by the AAP Foundation booth in the Vancouver Convention Centre West, Burrard Foyer, for fun giveaways, a raffle, and to learn more about the Foundation. Snap a hockey themed selfie and add your name to our donor scoreboard! The first 30 donors of $200 or more will get to cozy up with a super-soft chenille blanket. And for a $20 donation, check out our new implant snowflake ornaments!
While you’re at the booth, browse the offerings in this year’s Silent Auction. Use your smartphone or computer to see the 100+ exciting items that will be available. Text AAPF to 52182 to access the auction. There are no apps to download, just follow the link provided. You’ll even get a text message if you’ve been outbid! Be sure to join us at the booth on Tuesday morning for our Last Chance Bid Breakfast. You’ll have the opportunity to browse the silent auction items one last time over hearty breakfast fare.
Don’t miss the opportunity to see your gifts to the AAP Foundation in action at our Future Horizons in Perio CE session on Monday, 10/29 at 10:45am. This year’s innovative session, chaired by Drs. Hector Rios and Praveen Gajendrareddy, is focused on peri-implant disease and regenerative alternatives. Dr. Fernando Suarez Lopez del Amo will address “Etiopathogenesis of Peri-Implantitis: Beyond Plaque”, Dr. Sivaraman Prakasam will discuss “Alveolar Regeneration – Bench to Clinics”, and Dr. Kevin Byrd will present on “Reservoirs for Regeneration - Diverse Applications of Oral Epithelial Stem/Progenitor Cells”. All speakers and chairs are AAP Foundation award recipients.
If you or someone you know will be receiving an AAP Foundation award this year, join us at the newly redesigned joint AAP – AAP Foundation awards ceremony, to be held on Saturday, 10/27 at 5:30pm. Help recognize leaders in your field and those who will be teaching the periodontists of tomorrow. If you have donated at least $2,500 to the AAP Foundation, you should have received an invitation to our Donor Appreciation Event following the Awards Ceremony. Contact
Finally, join us on Monday morning for the AAP Foundation Estate Planning Breakfast. This engaging session will be led by Shawn Johnson, vice president of sales at Treloar & Heisel, and a local estate planning attorney. The case studies presented will be of interest to periodontists and their spouses. Thanks to Treloar & Heisel for their sponsorship of this session.
